LIVE THE EXPERIENCE
Knoydart is one of the last truly wild corners of the Scottish Highlands—a remote peninsula defined by dramatic mountains, sea lochs, and a profound sense of isolation. With vast open landscapes and minimal development, it offers a rare kind of quiet where nature feels both expansive and deeply personal.
At its heart lies the small village of Inverie, home to a close-knit community and the peninsula’s few essential amenities. Life here moves at a different pace—shaped by the elements, the terrain, and a strong connection to place—making Knoydart less a destination in the traditional sense, and more an experience of stepping fully outside the everyday.

By Ferry
Knoydart is one of the most remote and untouched regions of the Scottish Highlands, set between Loch Nevis and Loch Hourn with no connection to the UK road network. Reaching it is part of the experience: access is only possible by boat or on foot, with most guests arriving by ferry from the coastal village of Mallaig.
The crossing is operated by Western Isles Cruises, offering a scenic journey across Loch Nevis to Inverie, the peninsula’s small central village and point of arrival. Cars are not permitted on the ferry, with parking available in Mallaig, reinforcing the sense of leaving the mainland behind and stepping into a slower, more elemental landscape.
